Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in America and is an American photographer and journalist. Over the past forty-five years, she has concentrated her work on reporting the suffering of people, particularly during war and natural catastrophes. Curry was a reporter for wars from Kosovo, Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of Agana) was an American anchor, reporter on television as well as a journalist. Curry was best known for being a correspondent of the Today Show, a daily morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry was known for her work on reporting human rights issues in war-stricken countries as well as on natural catastrophes. Curry's Japanese-American mother and U.S. navy-marine father played prominent roles in Curry's life. Following World War II, her parents came together when her father served in Japan. Her father was a member of the military and her family was forced to relocate a lot. Curry graduated from high school at Ashland Oregon. Her graduation with a journalist certificate in 1978 from The University of Oregon in 1978. In her youth she had the privilege of being exposed to diverse cultures. They frequently moved around, and Curry did not remain in the same school for over two years, and she traveled to different areas such as San Diego Alameda Oregon and Virginia. Finally, she graduated Ashland High School. She began a career that could lead to a successful career by working as an intern in broadcasting for KTVL Channel 10 Medford. She was the first female news correspondent at this station at the age of 22. In Portland the state of Oregon, she was appointed anchor as well as a reporter for KGW NBC's affiliate. After four years, she relocated to Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. It was during her time with the channel for a period of six years that she received two Emmy Awards.
